Recovery College Week 5: Finanical Literacy - Understanding Your Student Financial Responsibility

Recovery College Week 5: Finanical Literacy - Understanding Your Student Financial Responsibility

Tuition, textbooks, bus fares, lunch, getting a coffee or energy drink to get through your 2nd lecture of the day...
Expenses add up quickly when you’re in university.

In this week’s session of YU Balance & Build, participants will:
• Get a realistic overview of their financial responsibilities
• Learn how to save money on campus, build balanced budgets, and understand the differences between types of student debt.
• Students will also get a chance to ask Peer Health Educators for advice, tips, and strategize on how to be more money conscious.

This session is part of a 6-week Recovery College series. For each full session you attend (about 45–60 minutes), $5 will be added to your YU Card. The $5 incentive is only available for full attendance and cannot be given for partial attendance. Please allow up to 7 business days for the funds to appear on your card.

Space is limited, and registration is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. If the session is full and you’d like to be added to the waitlist, please email hstacey@yorku.ca. We’ll reach out if a spot becomes available. If you’re registered but can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as you can so we can offer your spot to another student.
