Books Before Bets is a fun, interactive one‑hour workshop that explores how gambling and sports betting show up in campus life. Designed by students, for students, and presented in partnership with the Responsible Gambling Council (RGC), this session features hands‑on activities, real examples, and open conversation to help you stay informed and in control. You’ll learn how to spot the early signs of gambling‑related harm, pick up practical strategies to support yourself and your friends, and discover what on‑campus and provincial supports are available. Come for the conversation, stay for the prizes! We’ll be giving away stress toys and Bluetooth speakers to participants. Don’t miss this chance to learn, share, and win in a relaxed, judgment‑free space. Date: Wednesday March 18th, 2026 Time: 12:00PM-1:00PM Location: Ross N203 Please note: Limited spots are available. If registration is closed, it means all spots have been filled. If you’d like to be notified about future sessions or join the waitlist in case a spot opens up, please email hstacey@yorku.ca.
